T3G announced that it is the leading TD-SCDMA terminal system solution provider, and has completed the world’s first TD-LTE (Long-Term Evolution) end-to-end application interoperability test (IoDT), based on its Soft Modem Platform for multimode mobile devices. The T3G platform is powered by an embedded vector processor core and is capable of achieving data transfer rates of 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink, and supports multimode TD-LTE/TD-HSPA/EDGE as well as the LTE FDD versions of the standard.
This follows up the May 2008 announcement of an NXP EVP TD-SCDMA solution in the Samsung SGH-L288 phone. However this announcement says the use of T3G’s own programmable soft modem provides the company with a significant advantage to develop TD-LTE/TD-HSPA/ EDGE multimode terminal system solutions.
I wonder…???
